According to many studies, authenticity is one of the most important components of effective and impactful leadership. You have probably attended some training programs where you learned about the importance of values and purpose; you may have gone through an exercise of defining them for yourself. And yet, when faced with the pressures of your daily responsibilities, you may find it challenging to always let your values and purpose guide your actions.
While 75% of working Americans reported symptoms of burnout in the summer of 2020 [according to www.flexjobs.com], stress is only one reason for it. Another one could be your mindset. If your concern for the security of your position and reputation is stronger than your sense of purpose, it could be challenging to be an authentic leader. If you are unsure of the value of your own voice, it might be difficult for you to speak up.
This Retreat is an opportunity to expand your skills and capacity for Authentic Leadership.

"I learned that a better way to lead is to ask curious questions and to gain an understanding of the other person's perspective." C.D. Senior Executive, USG
"It was wonderful to have a day structured for me, instead of managing my time. That felt like a treat! Plus, it had built-in breaks, a built-in time to get outside (which I used to go for a run), and built-in meal times. Everything I needed, even some things I didn't know I needed." S.A. US Forest Service
You will stay at a boutique retreat center built with love and integrity. It is an inspiring example of how two people followed the leadership of their own voices and created a space where others could do the same. You’ll have access to a pool, river, and lots of acres of beautiful land. We will serve three delicious and nutritious meals. If you would like, you will be able to set up a massage appointment.

Our main goal is to support you as you remove barriers we all have between us and our own wisdom and knowledge. In the words of poet David White, "Poetry is the language against which there is no defense." We rely on art, movement, coaching, and community to remove the defenses and give you full access to your leadership voice.

WHEN and WHERE:
On ZOOM – of course!
April - June 2021: Saturdays 1:30 – 4:30 PM.
We all have those things that we would really want to get done, but somehow they keep being pushed to the bottom of the list. (Clean out those closets, piles, inboxes, reach out to that scary person, create those missing documents, finish the incompletes, engage in a vigorous exercise program, make room for your new goals to blossom!)
It feels so good to get them done! And, when they are done, there is more freedom and space to create the impact we want.
Accountability works, AND it is a lot more fun to do them in a community of like-minded people!
Pre-work: Pick a project that deserves 2-24 hours of your undivided attention; find music. Gather supplies.
1:25 PM– Get ready
1:30 PM – 1:45 PM (ish)
Move your body, center your mind, set an intention, share what you will be working on.
1:45 – 2:55 PM
2:55 – 3:00 PM
3:00 – 4:15 PM
4:15 – 4:30 PM
COME TOGETHER! Celebrate progress, move your body, report on challenges and next steps.
This is YOUR time, so if you want to skip anything and go right to work – go for it!
While I will be working on my own projects, I will also be available to coach you through any roadblocks you might encounter.
Donations will be used towards a scholarship to be used for someone that will attend the October 2021 DYI event!

Past participants reported feeling refreshed and renewed physically, mentally and emotionally.
Group size is limited to 5 people
WHAT IS IT?
This group will provide a safe and courageous space where you will enjoy support, inspiration, and accountability of others as you move towards accomplishing thrilling and exciting goals (professional and personal). You will be continuing the work you started at the retreat – of deepening your impact in this world, as you more and more take the leadership from your voice.
There will be loving, vulnerability, and honesty. No masks, no pretense, no competition. The group will not allow you to play small, to stay in your comfort zone. It will accept you exactly as you are, AND see possibilities you may not even see for yourself.
The group will be your own success team, providing ideas, support, challenge, and accountability.
This will be a shared learning and personal growth experience, and the humanity that’s generated as the result goes beyond what could be expressed with words.
The method that we will be using, will help leave your mark. It involves:
